NOTE: Naturopathic Doctors are licenced to provide massage, and will thus provide you with a receipt that you may submit under Naturopathic Medicine, NOT under Registered Massage Therapy. It’s just that not all NDs offer massage, but I do because as I enjoy it!

Massage comes from the French, and means “friction of kneading”.
Massage is such a basic form of touch in its roots and as such is so essential to all of us. What do we do when something hurts? We rub it. How do we know when someone is in pain in a certain body part? We see them hold or massage it. This is a natural instinct. Touching or massaging sore areas helps them to feel better, it is that simple. Massage along with other naturopathic modalities helps to get at the cause of the pain and begin to relieve it.
Throughout the course of our busy days most of us do things to our bodies that cause problems for our bodies. Either though repetetive activities such as sitting at a computer for hours, driving for long periods, working at a job that requires repetetive movements or simply physical endurance there are few people in the world that would not benefit from regular massages!
I am unlike many Naturoapthic Doctors, in that I employ the use of massage with many patients. I recognise the health benefits of regular and customized body work, including massage. As I get to know the intricacies of your health care needs, I can then fully integrate the necessary support from a massage perspective into your massage treatment. There are many types of massage which can be adapted to the individual’s needs. I have trained in places like Esalen Institute in California (1992), Southerland Chan in Toronto (1992), as well as in the Tibetan style of massage (2008). I uses only pure, organic coconut or sesame oil with or without your choice of therapeutic grade essential oils.
I have taken my massage skills to a new level as of late, and created a technique I call Emotional Releasing Massage. This is a form of massage that includes a connection to your feelings and spirit and a following of the energies within your body. It often involves the use of guided meditation, oils including essential oils, sound healing with drums, singing bowls, chimes etc. as well as guidance, use of imagery, and dialogue as needed in order to deepen your connection with yourself and source, to allow the release of energies that no longer serve you, and to welcome new energies and freedom into your body.
I am also highly training and experienced in many additional forms of Naturopathic Body Work which can be used as a stand-alone or combined in order to customize a treatment that will have the desired effect for YOU. These include; Bowen, CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Zero Balancing,
You may choose from either a 30, 60 or 90 minute treatment. See links above for more about your options and the Fee page for standard pricing.
